Unhealthy or abusive relationships take many forms, and there is not one specific behavior that causes a relationship to be categorized as such.
However, there are certain behaviors that should be cause for concern.
This can cause serious physical, emotional, and mental damage to a developing teen.
As adults, these teens are more likely to be withdrawn and depressed.
As a result, teenagers are more likely to be involved in relationships that are unhealthy, violent, and/or abusive.
Early intervention is the best way to prevent this vicious cycle from happening.
Behavior that is normal in one relationship may be abusive in a different relationship.
However, the following warning signs are generally indicative of abuse.
Slowly little things were said that I initially thought came from a caring place, “wow you look like you have gained weight”, “you really think that guy was hitting on you?
I mean not many guys like a girl your size and a flat chest”; “I don’t like when you wear those shorts, they are way too short.
